A Smith Institute inquiry into the strengths and weaknesses of the NHS Reform Programme

Venue: The Conference Hall, Manchester Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester, M2 5DB

According to the Government the NHS is underperforming and needs a radical shake up. The healthcare world has mixed views, with the BMA warning that the health bill is a huge gamble.

The Smith Institute is helping promote a national debate on the pros and cons of the reforms and wants to hear the views of health and social care professionals, patients' groups and GPs.

You are invited to a conversation with John Healey MP (Shadow Secretary of State for Health), and Neil Churchill (Chair of inquiry & Chief Executive, Asthma UK). These events, supported by UNISON, will then take the form of a panel discussion.
The event is at 17.45 for 18.00hrs, will conclude no later than 19.00hrs and will be followed by a drinks reception.
