Sexual Health and Young People (RSPH)

RSPH, Vauxhall, London

Time to talk about Sex-ual Health!

Many young people are too embarrassed to talk about their sexual health, and they don?t know where to find the information they need. This lack of communication, compounded by a wealth of misinformation from informal sources, means that young people are disproportionately affected by poor sexual health. Rising rates of sexually transmitted infections and teenage pregnancies make it imperative for the health care and social care workforce to be prepared to tackle this thorny topic. Putting the sexual health of young people high on the agenda delivers outcomes across the whole spectrum of public health, but do you and your team have the knowledge and expertise to take this on?

This new programme designed to give participants the confidence to support the sexual health needs of young people and techniques for incorporating discussion about sex and relationships into their everyday working practice.

Anyone who works in a voluntary organisation, education or the health and social care sector, with particular responsibility for young people, will benefit from this new programme. It is intended for people who want to build on their experience in public health and who will be playing a part in the development of healthy communities.

All our trainers are experts in their field, and the courses are especially designed for people working in every sector of public health. These programmes take place at our London head office, close to Vauxhall mainline and underground station. The day runs from 9.00 to 4.30, with lunch and refreshments included. All delegates receive a Certificate of Attendance and a comprehensive workbook covering the day?s topic.

The one day course costs just £195, with a sliding scale of discounts for multiple bookings.

Please contact Nicolette Smith () direct to make your booking, or visit the RSPH website.
