Healthcare Technology 2010

Thursday 30th September 2010, QEII Conference Centre London, 08:40 - 16:20

In the previous decade, investment in the NHS has nearly doubled. The Health White Paper 2010 also indicates a large investment in the NHS Information Centre. The responsibility of local organisations will increase to ensure their data is accurate and timely, although the new NHS Commissioning Board will set technical and data standards to ensure compatibility between different systems. These standards will include record keeping and data security. As the fragile economic recovery continues, the need to deliver value for money has never been greater, and remains a key government concern. In order to consolidate and build upon recent investments, and ensure that real spend on frontline services does not collapse, there is great potential for the use of ICT in healthcare.

Delivering a more effective and efficient health service is in everybody?s interest and healthcare technology is a unique opportunity to improve patient care, and improve efficiency.

With this in mind, delegates attending Healthcare Technology 2010 will be provided with a great opportunity to learn from a series of topical plenary presentations from high calibre government and policy making speakers, who will discuss healthcare service provision in the UK and also outline future plans and priorities. The afternoon plenary is split into three separate streams, alllowing delegates the opportunity to focus on their key area of interest - see event highlights below

Join us at Healthcare Technology 2010 to gain a real understanding of how the transforming health ICT landscape will influence the way that health strategies are designed and delivered, whilst keeping you up to date with the latest initiatives.
