Lean Government

LEAN Government

implementing change to create more value

The Barbican, London 23rd September 2010

This event is CPD certified

The coalition between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats undoubtedly signals change, not least to the delivery of public services. With the £163bn budget deficit high on the new government?s agenda, and Chancellor George Osborne pledging to cut £6bn of public spending by next April, efficiency savings would appear to be the initial step in a long walk back to financial stability.

The current economic climate provides the perfect opportunity to apply lean principles to radically rethink procedures and processes, not just as a quick fix with regards to budget cuts, but also to apply lean into the initial design of our everyday operations within the workplace and fully utilise it as a long-term positive change in policy-making.
